Many times the meaning of Christmas is lost. Christmas is when Jesus was born. Just think about that. That is the day when God sent His only son down to become man to save us. It is the day that God became man. He became one of us. It’s when He comes to us, but he comes more than that. He came at Christmas, He will come at the end of time, and as Deacon Eric pointed out today in mass (http://www.smoy.org/About-Us/Media/Homilies#/preacher/Deacon-Eric-Roush [3rd Sunday of Advent]), He comes in the Eucharist. He comes to us every mass, every time we receive communion. He is always there for us and waiting for us to receive Him. Today to celebrate the nearing of Jesus coming down to meet us, we light the rose colored candle on our advent wreaths.
Today we are to Rejoice In the Lord as it is said in the book of Psalms: "Be glad in the Lord and rejoice..." (Psalms 32:11). Today is a celebration! Be happy! Have fun, and thank the Lord for all of the happiness he has given to you. Thank you! God Bless!
