Now he didn’t die, but he did go off to college up in Wisconsin. He was the one who inspired me to do what I do now a day. He trained me how to usher. He trained me how to lector. He trained me how to coordinate mass. He trained me how to train others. In a way, Chase truly acted as God instructed. He loved everyone. He put others before himself. He trained the youth to go out and to train others just as Jesus trained the apostles to go out and baptize others.
And now Chase is gone for a while. He left just as Jesus did. Just as Jesus is with us all in spirit, so is Chase. He is far away, but still very close. Thanks to modern technology, he is just a text away. We all miss Chase and eagerly await his return. We wish Chase luck in his first year of college, and we wish him joy and happiness wherever he goes. Thank you Chase for showing me how to live as a good Catholic. Thank you Chase for every thing you do.
