Alright take a seat we're about to have a heart to heart (to heart, if you will). That third "to heart" is my good friend Jesus, who's inside of me right now. He's always on my heart and he's on yours too. So remember that, if someone ever puts you down & makes you feel like you're not worth it, remember that you are a temple for the greater of the universe, PRETTY COOL RIGHT? How's that for a comeback?
Anyways, I'm thinking I'm going to be the most casual author on this blog, but everyone has their own style. So I have decided to create a column called "Feel Good Friday." More or less, it'll be a combobulation of all of this weeks blessings, over turned to you. There will probably be a few song recommendations, most likely a sunset picture, and probably a Jesus pun that someone (Chase) sent me. So let me get into this.
The first thing I should tell you about my job is that I need the money or I probably wouldn't be there, the second is that the food is delicious, and the third is that there is always an amazing view of the sunset. That being said, a few nights ago, I walked up to a table of 14, praying (literally) to Jesus that I wouldn't screw this one up. Would you like to know the first thing that table said to me? You have the nicest smile, I hope the food is just as nice. Well dang, thanks for making my night a lot better. I went on to take their orders, bring out their food and return their check, without any major glitches I might add. The families left and upon my return to the table I found a note reading "thank you for your service, Erika. I hope that God blesses you in all of your work, as I can truly see his light shining from you." Signed with a cross. Talk about chills. You know what was even cooler? Perkins doesn't play christian music, and when I walked into the back, matt maher was playing. Simple reminder of how Jesus works, and how the simplest smile or gesture of kindness can hinder someone's whole day, or in my case, week. The sunset shown bright pink and orange that night, and I know my Lord was with me.

"So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of sinful nature"-Galatians 5:16
Think about this:
Everytime you forgive, you disappoint the devil.
